Ms. Moreland Special Education |
Ms. Moreland has taught at G-A for 23 years. She taught at the Primary building for 10 years before coming to the Intermediate. Ms. Moreland has 2 sons, Luke and Caleb, and one daughter, Emily. Most of her spare time is taken up with school sports, church activities, and the Galesburg United 4-H. Ms. Moreland states that Fourth and Fifth grades are the BEST grades to teach!

Mrs. Delfsma Special Education |
Mrs. Delfsma has been working at Galesburg-Augusta for 16 years. She is a para-professional who works with Ms. Moreland and Ms. Wolthuis helping with the students who have special needs. Prior to coming to our building, she spent some time at the G-A Primary, and also at Gull Lake Pre-Primary Impaired Classroom. She has a son, Jason, and a daughter, Jaime. Her pets include Buddy the dog and cats Dory and Binx. Mrs. Delfsma’s hobbies include weather watching, travel, and photography. She is also a severe storm spotter for the National Weather Service. Mrs. Delfsma states that she loves her job and her G-A classroom team is awesome to work with! |

Ms. WolthuisSpecial Education |
Ms. Wolthuis has been working with children as a para-professional for 14 years. She works with Ms. Moreland and Mrs. Delfsma in our special education resource classroom. She has also worked in Young Fives, Pre-Primary Impaired, and Kindergarten at Gull Lake Community Schools for 9 years before coming to G-A. Ms. Wolthuis has three children, Dustin, Kyle, and Shane, and several pets: 1 dog, 1 cow, 2 cats, 5 goats, 9 pigs, 4 ducks, and 155 chickens! In addition to caring for all those animals, Ms. Wolthuis is also involved in 4-H and she is on the Kalamazoo County Fair Board. She enjoys the students so much at the Intermediate she says it’s the best job she’s ever had! |

Mrs. Triplett Title One Para-Professional |
Ms. Triplett has been at Galesburg-Augusta for 10 years, and she also works at Portage District Library. She spends most of her time here at G-A working under Title 1, helping students in the areas of reading and math, and she also spends some time helping out Mrs. Taylor in the library. Ms. Triplett has two sons: Nathan, who is pursuing his Masters in Public Policy from U of M and is an East Lansing City Council member. Her other son, Colin, graduated from U of M last year with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. While he seeks employment in his field, he works at Ann Arbor Public Library. Ms. Triplett’s hobbies are reading and doing cross-stitch. |

Mrs. Hillbrecht has been working with children for over 20 years. She helps out in several areas within our building working with students with various subjects. She has two daughters, Kate and Anne, as well as two grandchildren, Ava and Isaac, and another grandchild due in February! Besides her grandchildren, Mrs. Hilbrecht enjoys music, reading, and sewing. |
