Mrs. Blake 4th Grade |
Mrs. Blake has been teaching for 15 years. She began her career at Climax-Scotts Schools. Mrs. Blake’s favorite hobbies are walking and listening to books on tape. She has two daughters, Angie & Ellie, and one son, Jake. Mrs. Blake also has four grand-children, and her husband recently retired. Mr. Washburn 4th Grade |
Mr. Washburn teaches fourth grade math at G-A Intermediate. He is in his seventh year of teaching, and he spent his first year teaching at Marcellus. He and his wife are blessed with four children, and he says spending time with his family is his favorite activity. Ms. Adams teaches Social Studies and she has been with Galesburg-Augusta for 34 years. She has two dogs, Toby and Zepelin, and one cat, Austin. Ms. Adams’ favorite hobby is hiking with her dogs. Mrs. Headley

Mrs. Headley has been teaching math at the Intermediate for four years, and she also spent one year at our Primary building. Mrs. Headley has two daughters, Isabelle and Grace, and she enjoys taking them to the park in her spare time. Isabelle and Grace love to play with their dog Cleo and their cat, Wylie. Mrs. Muselin 5th Grade

Mrs. Muselin is our Social Studies teacher, and this is her second year at the Intermediate. Mrs. Muselin graduated from G-A in 2001 and is very excited about returning as a teacher. Last year she taught Science in fourth grade, and our G-A Rams students are thrilled to have her back this year as a fifth grade teacher! Mrs. Muselin enjoys golfing and spending time with her family and friends. She has two cats, Sami & Belle. Fifth Grade Social Studies Curriculum:The students will be doing Daily Oral Geography everyday and will be tested over it every two weeks. They will also be learning about the following: American Indian Life--Southwest, Pacific, Northwest, Great Plains, Eastern Woodland -- way of life, locations, and modifications of American Indians; Euorpeaon Explorations - ID new ideas in Europe and affects of exploration; African life prior to 16th century -major regions of Africa and the life and cultural development of people; Interactions among European, African and American Indian people (late 15th century - 17th century); Regional Settlement patterns and development in Southern New England and mid-Atlantic; European slave trade; Life in colonial America; Causes of the American Revolution; Consequences of the American Revolution; Purposes of government, creating a new government, and the U.S. Constitution. |

Mrs. Johnson teaches fifth grade writing, and she has been at G-A for 11 years. Prior to becoming a teacher, Mrs. Johnson coached gymnastics for 10 years. She has two young children, Sam, a first grader at G-A, and Stephanie, a pre-schooler. Her favorite things to do include mountain biking, reading, and spending time with her children. Mrs. Peters is our Science teacher. This is her third year at Galesburg-Augusta, and she also spent four years teaching at Comstock Public Schools. Mrs. Peters has two sons, both in college, and in her spare time she enjoys reading, biking, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. She also has two English Springer Spaniels, Sadie and Abby.
